Welcome to my monthly newsletter, giving you updates on the things I’ve been lettering, reading and writing this month.

What am I writing?

The final issue of Hero of Legend is coming to Kickstarter next month! Next time you get an email from me, it'll be me telling you that the Kickstarter campaign is live.

I'm really excited about this issue. Niccolò has been turning in some of the best pages of the entire series, and I cannot wait for you all to get to see them. If you haven't yet, make sure you're signed up for the Kickstarter campaign here.

The main two covers for this issue are, as always, by Niccolo Ielapi and Laura Todisco. And (as always!) they're fantastic. Take a look:

If you aren't signed up for the prelaunch page (I've done some calculations on the number of subscribers to this newsletter vs the number of prelaunch followers, and I know there are a bunch of you!) please make sure you're signed up.

I haven't done this for any of the previous Hero of Legend Kickstarters, but there are going to be some Early Bird tiers on this campaign for the first 48 hours. Because this issues is 40 pages long, everything is going to cost just a bit extra, unless you back at these early bird tiers. I knew I needed to raise prices to make up for this extra length, but I also wanted to make sure that all of you who have been supporting us from the beginning are able to get something special.

What am I convention-ing?

Next month, May 9-10, I'll be in artist alley at Oakland Comic Con! This is going to be my first time at a comic convention, so if you're in the area, I'd love if you came and said hi.

If, for some reason, you need more than just the chance to see my beautiful face in person, I'll also have some fun exclusives that you can get from me while I'm there. I'm going to be printing out the first 14 pages of my new comic, SCUM, and have it available as an ashcan. I was working on getting the print files for this together and put together this cover for it this weekend:

I'll mostly be giving the ashcan away to folks who are making other purchases. For those of you that are getting this newsletter, though, let me know that you're subscribed and I'll give you a copy for free!
